longstanding British-German friendship

We work to forge links between the people of our two cities. 
  • arrange activities such as trips to Münster
  • welcome guests from Münster who come to York
  • network with community groups in the two cities
  • ​share information about links between Münster and York
  • ​encourage others to develop their own connections

Music or sports club, community or campaigning group? 
If your York group would like to link up with Münster, YMTA will help look for a partner you can connect with.

Meetings
Planning meetings are held at least 4 times a year, at City of York Council's West Offices, usually at 6.45pm. Email [email protected] if you would like to attend.

​​Münster guests visited York in August 2025. In summer 2026, a group from York will travel to Münster. Check our website for details in the months ahead.
